Mission and Vision

We believe that education is the key to the prosperity and wealth of every society. By being ambassadors ourselves, we show and teach our children that love, trust and respect are the fundamental values of life. We provide education to facilitate our children’s future careers and we give guidance to foster a common understanding for each other and our environment. While we leave space for individual creativity to develop our children’s strengths, we teach them that empathy and dedication are equally important to grow in life. We strive for harmony and friendship as much as we share the responsibility to care for what we create together: a learning community for children and people of the surrounding villages. And with every child leaving our school, we are proud that another ambassador carrying our values will help build a bright future, passing on what they learned to their families and friends.

Origin and
History

Mr.Raja Kandaiah started Arunachala Village School in February 1999 registering as a charitable trust with 42 kindergarten children sheltering under the coconut thatched roof. His hard work contributed to the school lot at the beginning stage.

In 2022, Ms. Ramya took over as the Managing Trustee of the Trust, determined to emphasize the importance of creative learning in a stress-free environment with an emphasis on promoting love and respect for the people and environment surrounding us. And the board consist of Mr Rakesh and Mr Selvam as Trustees.

Since then, the school has been successful in the community with children loving to attend the school in a stress-free environment with no burden of education being forcefully imposed on them.

Providing the best primary education in a children-friendly environment is the main goal of the organisation. With the generous support of the donors, this dream has became true now!

With 42 children at the beginning, the school now is functioning at a strength of 275. It is named Arunachala Nursery & Primary School due to the presence of the ancient holy Mountain Arunachala located in Tiruvannamalai.

Today AVS is a reputed charity organisation that is known for its quality education in this region!
